Living in Pasadena, California, Gwen fondly remembered caring for an adult bobcat named Dorothy when she was just twelve years old — a memory that stayed close to her heart for years.
Her lifelong connection with animals led her back to New Mexico after hearing about a litter of bobcat kittens. Captivated by their charm and spirit, Gwen brought one kitten, Bingham, back home with her to California. Bingham quickly became part of the family, living peacefully alongside other household pets.
Through school visits, senior center programs, and community events, Gwen shared Bingham’s remarkable story with audiences of all ages, inspiring curiosity, compassion, and appreciation for wildlife.
